A reluctant artist. Can I call myself an artist? That thought and stigma around the word has been with me for the last 20 years. I create art constantly, so I should be okay with that term.

My personal values go something like this:

Be Human. Have Fun. Enjoy Community

Whatever form my art takes, I take inspiration from the people and landscape around me. My hope is to spark emotion, with a focus on joy. If my art can spark a conversation, that is the next level of goodness. When my art inspires other to tap into their creativity, I am full of gratitude.

This project is all around tie dye, which I have found brings out a joy and playfulness that we seem to abandon when we “grow up”. I want to bring back the concept of “play” as a healthy part of living and tie dye is serving that purpose for me and hopefully you, too.
